Conference Welcome and PurposeWelcome to the 13th Annual Graduate Student Association (GSA) Interdisciplinary Conference, held at The University of Georgia. The purpose of our annual conference is to bring together diverse avenues of graduate research that address local and global issues, while making an impact on society. This focus allows the GSA to bring together a multitude of graduate students from across the 16 college and school disciplines found on the Athens campus. We hope to provide a nurturing environment where graduate students from our campus and beyond can present their research to a receptive audience comprised of graduate scholars, undergraduate students, and faculty members from a variety of disciplines. For this year's conference, the GSA has invited creative responses to, and a broad array of interpretations of a conference theme (to be determined).GSA Interdisciplinary Mission StatementThe Graduate Student Association (GSA) of The University of Georgia calls for graduate students from ALL departments among the 16 colleges and schools to cross traditional subject-matter boundaries through communication and collaboration to reach needed solutions for the complex problems of today and tomorrow.
