- 18+ Show - Steve Coughlin plays honest Americana. The lyrics are simple, but that’s the beauty of it. Steve takes pride in surrounding himself with the best talent possible, and strapping his straightforward, honest message to the wagon. His show is for anyone who believes that some things are better said over chords. Join us at The Melting Point for another chapter in a great history of shows with Steve Coughlin and Friends Hello, Iam Steve Coughlin, a BMI singer songwriter specializing in folk/Americana music. On Thursday November 15th at the Melting Point my band and I will be playing all of the songs from my new CD, Out of the Cold. In addition, we will be playing other originals that I have written and several cover songs that keep within the genre of music I perform. All of my songs come from my take on everyday life with an americana feel done in a folk style. My music seems to tell a simple story and is very smooth running. Our band started 6 years ago with Marshall Walker and Gaten Rioux in Nashville, Tennessee. All of the songs were written by Steve Coughlin and Marshall Walker and recorded at Lands Creek Studios in Bryson City NC. Some tracks were recorded at Grey fox Studios in Nashville Tn. However, the majority of the album was recorded at Last House Studios in Athens GA, with Davis Causey as the producer and arranger.. You can also find two videos on YouTube and the third is due to be released in October 2012. We’re excited to be releasing this record and hope to see y’all down at the Melting Point on Thursday November 15th! more >>> Performing together since 2006, Driftwood is a talented group of veteran musicians from Athens, Georgia.
