The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the Lamar Dodd School of Art will present a public lecture by B. Stephen Carpenter II on artistic intervention, curriculum and public pedagogy.Using clay, sawdust, water and other recycled materials, Carpenter's performance will demonstrate the production of ceramic water filters made of clay and sawdust. Carpenter has conducted similar presentations at universities in Wisconsin, Texas and California.Carpenter, the founding director of Reservoir Studio: Transdisciplinary Underground Collective, is a professor of art education at Penn State.
