145Learn about the Give Back(packing) Summer 2013 program and talk with former participants. Give Back(packing) is a professional development summer program that focuses on providing students with internship, service, and adventure opportunities.The month-long program travels to four cities: St. John's Virgin Islands, Washington D.C., New York City, and San Francisco The program is individualized based on each student's interests and goals. Every student will have multiple opportunities to do externships/job shadows with companies, such as LinkedIn, Edelman, National Parks Services, National Institute of Health, Kennedy Performing Arts Center and more. Students will also participate in both service projects and adventures in each city visited, including helping with the Children's Special Olympics in D.C., cleaning up Yosemite National Park, snorkeling, sailing, going on local food tours and taking a D.C. monuments tour.
The program dates are from May 19-June 19 and fees include all transportation between cities, adventures, some meals, and all costs for housing. Applications for the program are available online and space is limited.
