Description:
This history of the Univeristy of Georgia’s South Campus is a fascinating mix of the Civil War, the School of Agriculture, campus planning, Works Progress Administration grant-funded construction, and Mid-Century Modern design. All of these are sometimes witin yards of each other. Janine will begin the tour with a brief orientation, and then follow portions of Sanford Drive, Cedar, Lumpkin and Carlton streets. The tour will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
